I am a startup founder and International development professional. For ten years I directed the strategy, design, and operations of SONYA VAJIFDAR, an ethical luxury womenswear brand. SONYA VAJIFDAR was featured on the runway at fashion weeks Internationally and locally and in the pages of Vogue, Elle , Grazia, Harpers, and many more publications. I worked for global sustainable magazines, as an ethical journalist focused on growing the businesses of high potential sustainable entrepreneurs and brands, which shaped my views on the intersection of business and sustainable development.
I also worked and am currently an educator and course director for a sustainable fashion and lifestyle course in Dubai and India .
I believe in the power of entrepreneurship and good stewardship, and I am eager to work with brands, NGOs, and International institutions seeking to integrate ecological and ethical practices into their operating model and become thought leaders on the most pressing environmental and social issues.
